The episode opens with Armaan questioning Madhav about leaving his wife for Abhira. Madhav counters, accusing Armaan of leaving his wife for his family. A heated argument ensues, with Madhav suggesting that Vidya should stay with Abhira for three months. However, Vidya refuses, expressing her inability to bear Abhira any longer.
Ruhi reveals that she had prepared divorce papers, indicating that she was aware of the truth about Abhira and Madhav’s marriage but chose not to disclose it to Vidya as per Armaan’s request. Vidya apologizes and embraces Ruhi, who reassures her that she has the right to her feelings. Ruhi also reveals that Madhav is considering leaving the house because he cannot stand injustice, prompting Vidya to contemplate bringing Abhira back and expressing concern for Armaan.
Ruhi assures Vidya that Armaan will move on and find someone who will stand by him for seven lifetimes. Madhav blames the family for taking advantage of Vidya’s desire to please them, causing her to drift away from him.
He asserts that their current strife is due to Vidya’s lack of courage. Armaan questions the morality of their actions, but Madhav defends their relationship, claiming that Armaan does not understand the depth of their bond. Dadi observes the unfolding drama silently.
Abhira: I finished the assignment last night; I just need to fill in the name. Riya enters and says, “Get water if you plan to take a bath.” Abhira replies, “Yes, of course,” and leaves. Riya notices the file and Abhira gets ready, realizing her file is missing. Dadi tells Charu to eat, reminding her of her medicines, expressing her concern.
Ruhi suggests sending Charu for counseling, but Sanjay disagrees, fearing exposure of their secret. Ruhi insists on taking Charu to her reputed counselor for help. Charu, feeling misunderstood, scolds Ruhi, expressing her pain over Rohit’s death and Dev’s continued presence. Abhira suspects Riya of misplacing her assignment.
Riya gives the assignment to a guy and takes money, which Abhira notices too late. Abhira accuses Riya of selling her assignment, but Riya apologizes, citing her difficult circumstances. Abhira decides to make a new assignment. Ruhi cries, and Vidya consoles her, reaffirming their support for her well-being. Ruhi declares her commitment to her family, promising never to abandon them.
Abhira hurriedly writes the papers as a gust of wind suddenly blows, scattering them. She frantically gathers the papers, but a man intercepts, taking them to Armaan. Armaan, upon seeing the handwriting, mistakenly assumes it to be Abhira’s. Discovering her name struck off, he coldly tells the man to leave. The man asks if the assignment is unsatisfactory, to which Armaan responds, “It belongs to my wife.” Abhira, overhearing, apologizes and hurries towards them.
Meanwhile, she overhears other students discussing a strict examiner. She approaches Sanjay, who reveals himself as her examiner. He questions her about Charu and Dev, becoming furious and scolding her. The argument escalates as he steps on her assignment, demanding she obeys him and humiliates herself to pass. Refusing, Abhira stands firm, questioning his actions. Sanjay challenges her, asking if she is willing to fulfill her mother’s dream.
She sits down and opens the file, causing him to recoil. She scolds him for his behavior, and he rises to his feet. He criticizes her, saying it’s good Maasa ousted her because she is disgusting. Abhira responds, accusing him and Dadisa of lacking understanding for the children, portraying them as jailers in a house that feels like a prison. Armaan arrives and interrupts, shouting Abhira’s name. Sanjay, filled with anger, leaves the scene. Armaan and Abhira then engage in a heated argument.
Armaan insists on her behaving with more decorum, to which Abhira retorts that his family has insulted her and her mother. She questions the Poddars’ claim to perfection. Armaan tells her to stay away and departs. Abhira is left in tears. Sanjay returns, stating that Abhira has misbehaved with him and is no longer welcome home. Manisha questions if Abhira had a valid reason for her behavior and if Sanjay provoked her. Armaan implies that even if Sanjay did provoke her, Abhira is the one at a loss.
Madhav defends Abhira, suggesting that perhaps Sanjay did something to deserve her reaction. Armaan accuses Madhav of taking Abhira’s side, but Madhav argues that Armaan has neglected his responsibility towards her. Armaan disagrees, claiming he fulfilled his responsibility by sending Abhira’s assignment pictures to her professor, ensuring she will pass.
