Arjun yelled Karun’s name as he saw the truck approaching. Shanti acted swiftly, saving Karun from the accident. Concerned, Shanti asked Karun if he was alright. Arjun rushed to Karun and repeated the question, checking on his well-being.
Karun recognized Shanti and embraced her in gratitude. Arjun, empathetic, acknowledged that he had learned about her difficult past. Shanti questioned the fairness of her and her baby’s suffering if Mahesh was to blame. Feeling abandoned, she expressed the challenge of moving forward alone.
Seeking to help, Arjun offered financial assistance, but Shanti declined, requesting a job instead. She mentioned her past role in feeding Karun.
Arjun contemplated and decided to hire Shanti as Karun’s caregiver. Unbeknownst to Arjun, Shanti harbored darker intentions, planning a slow, painful fate for Karun.
Kashvi enters the kitchen, finding Aditya pretending to be on the phone, insisting he can manage everything himself. As he smirks, the tea spills on his hand. Kashvi quickly pours water on it and scolds him, suggesting he should have asked for help if he wanted tea. She offers to apply ointment, but Aditya refuses, fearing he might become dependent on her. He insists she leave, believing his plan to manipulate her guilt is working, as he intends to remind her of the past wrongs she’s done to keep her from leaving him.
Arjun escorted Shanti to her new home. Full of remorse, Shanti apologized to Isha on behalf of her husband. Isha, displaying compassion, reassured Shanti that she shouldn’t be held accountable for her husband’s actions and deserved to live her life freely. Jagdish commended Isha for her understanding.
Arjun informed Shanti that she could stay there, prompting Jagdish to inquire where Arjun had found her. Arjun explained that Shanti had saved Karun earlier that day and would now be taking care of him.
Curious about Shanti’s role, Romila asked what her duties would entail. Arjun clarified that she would be looking after Karun. When Karun inquired about his mother and expressed a desire for her to meet Shanti, Arjun, evading the truth, claimed that she was out.
Shanti accompanied Karun to assist him, leading Romila to question Arjun’s prolonged deception. Arjun insisted that he would reveal the truth to Karun in his own time and urged everyone to maintain the secret.
Later that night, Karun discovered Mahima’s belongings missing from her cupboard—clothes, jewelry, and makeup. Distressed, he confronted Arjun, asking why he had lied to him and demanding to know where his mother was. Romila suggested that Karun should be told that his mother had been asked to leave.
Heartbroken, Karun accused Arjun of being selfish and a bad father, insisting that his mother would never willingly leave them. Arjun explained that Mahima had chosen to leave, and though he didn’t want her to go, he had respected her decision. Overwhelmed with grief, Karun cried, expressing his belief in his mother’s love and his inability to accept her departure. Arjun embraced him, trying to explain that sometimes people leave for reasons beyond their control.
Shanti admonishes the situation, advising against it, and attempts to calm him down. Romila criticizes Arjun, implying that even the servant is more intelligent. Jagdish comments on the situation, reminding them of his earlier warning. Arjun defends his stance, suggesting that everyone knows Mahima isn’t a perfect mother and that Karun should accept the truth. Shanti tries to soothe Karun. Romila suggests bringing Karun’s favorite ice cream to cheer him up, and Shanti leaves to get it.
Karun asks Romila about his mother’s whereabouts, and she informs him that she is at Toshi Dadi’s house, arranging a taxi for him to fetch her. Karun rushes out, and Romila tidies up and turns off the lights. She then sends a voice message to Mahima, informing her that her plan is complete. Mahima, who is getting ready, receives a threatening message from Vishal, asking her to meet him. Thinking this is the perfect opportunity since nobody is home, she prepares to leave but receives Romila’s message only after she’s gone to get ready.
Kashvi arrived home and inquired about Karun. Romila informed her about Karun’s accident and revealed that Arjun had expelled Mahima from the house, shocking Kashvi. Romila highlighted the challenging situation without Mahima, which angered Arjun. Romila then mentioned that Mahima was also at fault.
Spotting Shanti, Kashvi questioned her presence. Arjun explained that Shanti was now staying as Karun’s nanny, as she had saved him from the accident. Intrigued, Kashvi asked to speak with Shanti privately. Once alone, Kashvi queried why Shanti hadn’t stayed in the city as planned for college.
Shanti explained that she had been ostracized by villagers and sought a fresh start. Kashvi wondered why Shanti hadn’t sought refuge at her house, to which Shanti replied that she wanted to avoid remembering painful memories and hence chose to come there, where she could focus on caring for Karun.
