Akeer’s Puppet and Gurnoor’s Promise
Akeer shows the puppet Sahiba made to Gurnoor, asking her to keep it so she won’t forget him until he builds a time machine to find his mamma. Gurnoor assures him she isn’t going anywhere and will be with her chotu sardar through both happiness and sorrow. Angad attempts to speak to his mother, but Manveer interrupts, insisting on speaking to Gurnoor first.
She expresses her distrust, warning Gurnoor that if she harms Akeer, there will be consequences. Manveer tells Angad that he will understand her concerns when Gurnoor breaks his trust. After the elders disperse, Angad thanks and apologizes to Gurnoor, who brushes off his apology, asking if he thinks she’s staying out of obligation.
Gurnoor clarifies she’s staying for Akeer, making decisions she feels are right. Keerat supports Gurnoor’s decision and blames the principal’s call for the mess. Garry suggests Gurnoor find out who misinformed the principal, but Gurnoor dismisses it, wanting to move on. Angad thanks her again, trusting she won’t make him regret his decision. Gurnoor prays she never breaks anyone’s trust.
Manveer’s Distrust and Keerat’s Defense
Manveer shares her displeasure with Angad’s decision, insisting on investigating Gurnoor, confident more secrets will surface. Keerat accuses Manveer of being resistant to new people, citing past issues with accepting Sahiba and herself.
Manveer snaps back, but Keerat stands firm, saying her pain from Manveer’s behavior surpasses the loss of her sister. Manveer acknowledges Keerat’s feelings but insists Gurnoor is just Sahiba’s look-alike. Jasleen advises Keerat to be practical, not emotional, prompting Keerat to leave in frustration.
Family Debate and Gurnoor’s Worries
Bebe sympathizes with Manveer but emphasizes Akeer’s need for Gurnoor. Jasleen argues that Angad made an emotional, not practical, decision because he misses Sahiba. Garry defends Angad’s choice, highlighting his love for his son. Jasleen suggests investigating Gurnoor’s past employment.
Gurnoor, back in her room, reflects on Angad’s protection and worries about Beeja discovering her location. A maid arrives, and Gurnoor hides Sahiba’s passport. The maid advises Gurnoor not to mind Manveer’s harshness and informs her that Keerat is calling her.
Angad looks at Sahiba’s photo and thinks to himself that no one could ever be like her. He recalls Sahiba saying that he had protected her multiple times from fire and realizes she was right; fire had brought them closer and eventually separated them.
He then remembers Gurnoor holding a burning coal and thinks about how fire stopped Gurnoor from leaving the house. Meanwhile, Gurnoor walks to Keerat’s room. Keerat asks to see her hand. Gurnoor jokes if she can predict the future. Keerat replies that she can’t predict the future but can sense others’ pain. She fetches some ointment and asks Gurnoor if it hurts a lot.
Gurnoor, accustomed to pain, insists on applying the ointment herself. Keerat insists, saying that understanding her pain means she can help lessen it, and applies the ointment to Gurnoor’s wound.
Manveer tells Jasleen that Keerat is getting too friendly with Gurnoor. Jasleen reassures her that after Manveer’s warning, no one would dare to befriend Gurnoor. Back in the room, Keerat tells Gurnoor that she can see something is bothering her and offers a listening ear. Gurnoor recalls stealing Sahiba’s passport but brushes it off, saying that Mr. Brar trusted her with his son’s responsibility and she doesn’t want to break his trust.
Keerat reassures Gurnoor that she won’t make any mistakes and reminds her that Angad doesn’t give responsibilities lightly. Just then, Manveer and Jasleen walk in, demanding to know what is going on. Gurnoor explains that Keerat called her.
Manveer sternly reminds her that she is not a family member, just staff hired by Angad to take care of Akeer, and she shouldn’t be in Keerat’s room. Gurnoor jokes that they were just talking about Manveer and Jasleen, and the two showed up. Jasleen accuses them of badmouthing. Manveer shouts that she is Gurnoor’s boss, not her MIL. Gurnoor retorts, asking when she said otherwise.
