Sahiba noticed Jasleen smiling at Akeer and wondered if Jasleen was Akeer’s secret friend. However, her thoughts turned to Angad when she saw him wearing shoes, wondering if he was the secret friend trying to take Akeer away from her. Sahiba felt something was wrong, and when Diljeet asked, she expressed her belief that Akeer’s secret friend was real, not just her imagination.
She explained that as a mother, she had an intuition when her child was about to get into trouble. Diljeet tried to dismiss her concerns, suggesting they go in and pray, which they did, but Sahiba couldn’t shake off her worries. She prayed fervently, hoping Angad wasn’t the secret friend, and tied a protective thread to Akeer.
Meanwhile, Amu arrived with her parents, asking Harleen to join them inside. Harleen, however, heard a child’s voice and was flooded with memories of abandoning her own newborn baby at the same gurudwara, born out of wedlock. Overwhelmed, she felt drowsy, but Diljeet quickly came to her aid, helping her sit down.
Arminder and Amu expressed their concern for Harleen’s well-being, and Harleen could only hope that her abandoned baby was safe. The doctor noticed Sahiba’s art and complimented her painting skills, leading to a conversation about painting a pediatric ward in his hospital, which Sahiba agreed to do.
Amu was impressed by Angad’s newly constructed wall and praised the artwork, though Angad downplayed it, criticizing the imperfect colors. Sahiba, overhearing, commented on some people’s habit of disrespecting others, likening it to how Angad had used his wealth to reconstruct the wall.
Amu, surprised by Sahiba’s knowledge of the incident, asked if she had been present when it happened, to which Sahiba confirmed, recounting Angad’s reckless behavior that day.
As Amu and Angad left for langar, Amu’s curiosity about Sahiba grew, and Angad revealed that Sahiba was his past, returning to haunt him. Back at langar, Angad found it hard to concentrate, lost in thoughts about Sahiba. Manveer advised him to move on with Amanpreet, but Angad was determined to show Sahiba that he could move on too. He agreed to marry Amu, intending to prove to Sahiba that he was capable of moving forward in his life.
Later, Angad and Amu spoke, both agreeing to start their relationship as friends, as they had both lost trust in love. They decided to get engaged, with the ceremony to be held the following day at the gurudwara. Arminder, Amu’s father, warned Angad to keep his daughter happy, threatening dire consequences if Angad ever hurt her.
Angad assured him of his intentions and asked for Amu’s opinion, which she happily agreed to. The engagement was set for the next day, and as the news spread, Jasleen suggested celebrating. Sahiba, however, felt tense at the thought, her worries deepening. The next day, preparations for Angad and Amu’s engagement were in full swing at the gurudwara. Amu looked radiant, surrounded by her family and friends, while Sahiba appeared thoughtful, her mind preoccupied with worries about Akeer and the unfolding events.
As the engagement ceremony began, the atmosphere was filled with joy and celebration. Angad and Amu exchanged rings, symbolizing the start of their new journey together. The guests cheered and congratulated the couple, sharing in their happiness.
Sahiba, though happy for Angad and Amu, couldn’t shake off her uneasy feeling. She watched them from a distance, lost in her thoughts. Diljeet noticed her troubled expression and approached her, asking if everything was alright. Sahiba hesitated but eventually shared her concerns about Akeer’s safety and the presence of his secret friend. Diljeet reassured her, reminding her that they had tied a protective thread to Akeer, and he would be fine.
As the engagement celebrations continued, Sahiba’s uneasiness grew. She decided to take matters into her own hands and approached Angad. She asked to speak with him privately, away from the festivities. Angad, sensing her seriousness, agreed, and they moved to a quieter corner of the gurudwara.
Once alone, Sahiba confronted Angad about his past with her. She questioned him about his intentions towards Amu and whether he truly intended to move on from their shared history. Angad, taken aback by her directness, tried to explain his feelings and his desire to start fresh with Amu.
Sahiba listened intently, her heart torn between her past with Angad and her concerns for Akeer’s safety. After a moment of silence, she nodded, acknowledging Angad’s words. She knew she had to let go of the past and focus on her family’s happiness.
With a heavy heart, Sahiba returned to the engagement ceremony. She watched as Angad and Amu exchanged smiles and vows of friendship, knowing that it was time for her to do the same. As the evening drew to a close, Sahiba prayed silently for Akeer’s safety and for the strength to move forward.
As the guests began to leave, Sahiba approached Angad and Amu. She congratulated them and wished them a lifetime of happiness together. Angad thanked her for her good wishes, and Sahiba smiled, knowing that she had made the right decision.
As Sahiba walked away, she felt a sense of peace wash over her. She knew that while her past with Angad would always be a part of her, it was time to embrace the future and focus on what truly mattered – her family and their happiness.
