Gurnoor walks over to a crying Akeer and gently asks why he was dancing strangely in his class. Akeer continues to cry. Gurnoor draws puppets Chintu and Mintu on her thumbs and invites him to share his problem with them. Akeer hugs her, saying he has no friends in this new school and misses his friends from his old school. Gurnoor asks if he’s missing his friends.
Akeer reveals that he misses his mamma, who has gone to God. Gurnoor hugs and comforts him, sharing that she also misses her parents, who left her when she was a bit older than him. Akeer asks how she copes with it. Gurnoor replies that she sings whenever she remembers them.
Akeer calls her mamma and asks if she will teach him. Gurnoor says she’s here to teach him music and mentions that she got the music teacher’s job because of him. She asks why he calls her mamma. Akeer explains that her face looks just like his mamma’s, but he knows she isn’t his mamma.
Encouraging him to join his class’s group dance and show his talent, Gurnoor takes Akeer back to class. Akeer dances awkwardly again, and his classmates laugh at him. Gurnoor steps in, teaches him some dance moves, and cheers him up. Akeer dances beautifully this time, earning applause from Gurnoor and his classmates. Angad watches from a distance, attempting to clap but stopping himself.
Gurnoor leaves the classroom, and a peon named Suresh offers her tea. She expresses her love for tea and chats with him in her usual friendly manner. Noticing another employee cleaning the floor, she comments on his hard work and offers him her tea, suggesting he needs a break. Suresh brings her another cup. The floor cleaner offers her a mathri (snack), mentioning that he’s been working there for five years, but no teacher or staff has treated him as kindly as she has.
The principal approaches Gurnoor and asks if she has submitted her documents. Gurnoor recalls a goon burning her documents but promises to submit them soon. The principal insists on receiving them by tomorrow. Gurnoor worries that applying for copies online will expose her location to the goons. Angad continues to observe everything from a distance.
When Akeer returns home, he excitedly recounts his dance experience at school to Bebe. Simran then shares how she noticed Akeer feeling down earlier, prompting her to call Angad for support. Akeer credits Gurnoor, his teacher, for lifting his spirits, praising her listening ear, encouragement, and how she even spurred him to dance.
He eagerly plans to introduce them to Gurnoor the next day, revealing her uncanny resemblance to Sahiba. Garry, intrigued, asks Angad about Gurnoor, to which Angad responds positively. The family, impressed by Akeer’s glowing praise, eagerly agrees to meet Gurnoor.
Later, as Gurnoor sings “Lagjaa Gale Ke Phir Ye Haseen Raat Ho Na Ho,” Angad is moved to tears, reminded of Sahiba and the day’s events with Akeer and Gurnoor. Gurnoor, retiring to bed, is plagued by a nightmare of goons destroying her documents, prompted by the principal’s warning to submit them by tomorrow or risk losing her job.
