Gurnoor approaches the principal to inquire about joining as a music teacher. The principal promptly approves her request, to which Gurnoor expresses her delight. However, the principal requests her to submit all necessary documents first, to which Gurnoor assures she will do so soon.
Akeer eagerly chimes in, expressing his willingness to attend school regularly if Gurnoor, whom he addresses as “madam,” is teaching. Gurnoor, surprised, asks Sahiba if Akeer is her son, and Angad confirms with a nod before leaving without a proper response, which Gurnoor perceives as arrogant.
As Gurnoor passes by Akeer in the corridor, he grabs her hand, offering to show her around the school. However, Gurnoor insists on speaking with his father first, to which Akeer clarifies that Angad is not his father.
Later, Gurnoor introduces herself to Angad, addressing him by name. Angad silently observes as Gurnoor questions him about his relationship with Akeer and encourages him to smile more, suggesting it might help improve their bond. Angad reveals that sometimes life’s challenges overshadow the ability to smile.
Meanwhile, Akeer returns and eagerly inquires about Gurnoor starting her music classes, referencing a song she sang the day before. Gurnoor is surprised, and Angad realizes that Akeer had seen her previously. Akeer’s teacher intervenes, leading him away to class.
Gurnoor compliments Akeer, finding him adorable, but Angad walks away without acknowledgment, leaving Gurnoor to conclude that while the son is charming, the father appears aloof. Nevertheless, she resolves to focus on enjoying her new job and starts dancing.
At home, Angad tearfully reminisces about Sahiba, expressing his sadness at Akeer’s changed demeanor since her departure. He recalls how Akeer mistook Gurnoor for Sahiba and felt joy at her supposed return.
Garry consoles Angad, presenting him with a photo frame featuring images of Angad, Akeer, and Sahiba, both past and present. Angad is moved and embraces Garry, while Garry prays for reconciliation between Angad and Akeer, reminiscent of the happiness Akeer had displayed with Gurnoor.
Akeer sits sadly in class as the dance teacher reminds everyone about the upcoming dance performance. She begins teaching the students and asks Akeer to join them, but he refuses. Simran walks in and asks the teacher if she was called.
The teacher explains that Akeer isn’t participating in any activities and always looks sad. The students tease Akeer, saying he can’t dance. Akeer insists he can and recalls dancing like a monkey with his mother. He demonstrates, but the students mock him for dancing like a monkey.
Simran tells Akeer he doesn’t need to prove anything and leaves the classroom in tears. She calls Angad from the peon’s phone, telling him that Akeer is very sad, and she can’t bear to see him like this. She asks Angad to come. Angad recalls Sahiba’s last words.
Akeer continues to dance like a monkey. The dance teacher asks him to stop, pondering how to help him. Akeer’s class teacher tells Gurnoor that she needs to teach music to Martha madam’s class for the dance competition tomorrow.
Gurnoor notices Akeer dancing and calls him over. Akeer, imagining her as Sahiba, stops and falls. Gurnoor rushes to catch him, and Akeer calls her “mamma.” She gives him water. The students taunt him, calling him a loser who dances like a monkey and mocks his father. Angered, Akeer runs out of the classroom.
