The episode begins with Vaiju checking the arrangements. She asks Raj to drink milk and get stronger. Raj insists he’s already strong, but she challenges him to learn true strength from her. She notices a cutout of Ranvijay and Jaya and tells Raj to stay away from them.
He agrees, feeling worried, and Vaiju inquires about his concern. He explains that the mehendi designer he hired can’t come due to the rain and has to return to Mumbai. Vaiju gets angry, but Jaya intervenes and sends Raj away. Jaya laughs and tries to calm Vaiju, saying she will apply the mehendi herself as she’s the best at it. Sulekha taunts Vaiju about her fate, but Vasundara stops her.
Ranvijay suggests hiring a local lady to apply the mehendi, but Jaya insists on Vaiju doing it. Despite Ranvijay’s superstition about it being a bad omen, Jaya dismisses his concerns. Vasundara mentions they need to feed a poor person before starting the mehendi, and Sulekha sarcastically points to Vaiju.
Shocked, Vaiju responds that while she may be poor, she’s not lazy or a thief, and she’ll work hard to become rich one day. Sulekha claims she wants Vaiju’s betterment, and Vasundara gives Vaiju shagun money. Vaiju, recalling her mother’s words, returns the money, valuing the gesture and love over the amount. Vasundara, touched, invites Vaiju to apply the mehendi.
As Vaiju eats, Sulekha instructs Jaikant to get her a drink, which he spikes. Vaiju drinks it and becomes dizzy, prompting Jaikant’s amusement. Vaiju mocks Ranvijay, questioning if he’ll lecture like a politician. Ranvijay dismisses Jaikant and demands to know what’s going on.
Vaiju taunts Ranvijay about not considering her his wife, and Vasundara overhears their conversation about keeping their marriage a secret. Raj interrupts with a problem, and Vasundara leaves with him. Ranvijay warns Vaiju to behave until the wedding is over, after which they’ll part ways. Vaiju, unsure of her future, gets the mehendi bowl and nervously begins applying it to Jaya.
As Vaiju writes Ranvijay’s name on Jaya’s hand, she tears up. Jaya consoles her, saving the tears for her Bidaai. Sulekha makes a snide comment about Vaiju’s own Bidaai, but Vasundara insists Vaiju will decide her own fate, expressing her desire for Vaiju to stay with her forever. Vasundara gets emotional, and the mood lightens with a dance on “Banno ki Saheli.
” Ranvijay dances, and Vaiju imagines dancing with him. She joins everyone in the dance, but when Ranvijay smells something off in his drink, he asks the waiter about it. Vaiju stumbles, and Jaya catches her, causing the mehendi to smear. Sulekha accuses Vaiju of spoiling Jaya’s mehendi, but Ranvijay defends her, revealing someone spiked the juice with alcohol, which Vaiju unknowingly drank.
