The episode begins with Jhanak declaring her intention to leave and never return. Anirudh, however, insists that she shouldn’t go. He clarifies to Arshi that everyone has the right to live their life as they choose. Shrishti interjects, suggesting that Tejas would provide Jhanak with a better life. Anirudh disagrees, stating that Jhanak is not at fault, and that Shrishti herself was spared despite committing a crime.
He challenges Arshi to speak up. Arshi accuses him of wanting to make the same mistake as her mother. Anirudh explains that he went to give Jhanak her medicine and had planned to tell Arshi everything. He asserts that he has lived life on his terms and will continue to do what he believes is right.
Dadi blames Jhanak for the conflicts within the family. Jhanak reassures them that she will leave and never return. Choton suggests that she could go anywhere besides Srinagar, perhaps to Kolkata to work in another household. He emphasizes that the city does not belong to anyone. Jhanak acknowledges Tejas’ presence and the support of some good people who love her.
Anirudh privately thinks about Rahul’s love for Jhanak and expresses his wish for her to settle with him, despite his own feelings. Jhanak urges Anirudh to apologize to Arshi. He complies, asking for her trust and apologizing to her. Arshi reciprocates her love, and Anirudh assures her of his love as well. Jhanak watches them, feeling emotional. The song “Mana ke hum yaar nahi” plays in the background.
Arshi addresses the group, prompting Tanuja to scold Bipasha for unnecessarily involving Arshi and causing her stress over a trivial matter. Bipasha apologizes, explaining her concern for Ani and her desire to manage Jhanak’s presence. She expresses her regard for Ani and promises not to involve Arshi again. Arshi mentions how Ani always charms her with his words.
Tanuja criticizes Lal for prioritizing his worries over supporting his parents and Appu, emphasizing that everyone is different. Lal defends himself, citing his salary constraints. Tanuja contrasts Lal’s approach with Ani’s willingness to support the family financially, highlighting the difference between them and advising Arshi not to misunderstand Ani. Arshi mentions that Ani apologized at Jhanak’s insistence.
Jhanak interjects, pointing out that Ani apologized for a mistake he didn’t commit. Rumi then proposes a plan for Anirudh’s birthday celebration. Bipasha explains that she had called Arshi to discuss the birthday plans and had asked Lal to take a day off for the party, suggesting they hire caterers for dinner. Tanuja offers to invite Arshi’s parents to the celebration.
Dadi enters and reminds them about Ani’s birthday, suggesting they throw a good party. Tanuja agrees and discusses inviting Mrinalini, mentioning the idea of fixing her marriage with Choton for his better future. However, Tanuja expresses doubts that Mrinalini would be interested in marrying Choton.
Arshi, Bipasha, and Lal joke about Choton, but Dadi defends him, highlighting his efforts to earn money. Tanuja agrees that it would be good if Mrinalini became their daughter-in-law but remains skeptical about her interest in Choton.
Dadi praises Choton, and Tanuja suggests inviting Meenu for the party. Arshi asks Rumi for water, prompting Tanuja to offer food to Arshi. Bipasha asks Jhanak to make tea, but Arshi requests only water.
Tanuja then discusses the arrangements for Ani’s birthday party and asks Jhanak to clean the house, which she agrees to. Later, Anirudh finds Jhanak in the kitchen and thanks her for the water, inquiring about everyone’s whereabouts and inviting her to dinner with him for his birthday the next day.
