Jhanak 16th June 2024 written Episode: Full Update only on Yo Desi Serials.
The episode begins with Anirudh and Jhanak in a heated argument. Jhanak confronts him, saying, “You filled sindoor in my maang and wiped it. Did you do it?” Anirudh responds, “Did I?” Jhanak continues, “I was forced to wipe it, no one asked how I felt, not even you. Why waste time on me?” Anirudh retorts, “Others aren’t you, Jhanak.”
Choton interjects, saying, “I have told Anjana about Anirudh.” Dadi tries to calm the situation, saying, “It’s a family matter. I know our family is facing many problems because of Jhanak, but did she call Ani there?” Jhanak, frustrated, declares, “I am married, but not. I want freedom from you.” Anirudh, feeling unwell, says, “I’m not feeling well. I will go and rest. I won’t ruin your life. I just wanted to keep you safe, nothing else. Sorry.” Jhanak, exasperated, says, “We got trapped in an unwanted marriage. I am married in the world’s eyes. Who will marry me now?”
Tanuja comments, “Jhanak won’t agree if she called Ani.” Dadi reassures, “No, she will never call him.” Choton defends Jhanak, saying, “Jhanak has saved Ani’s life many times. Trust me.” Shubh, irritated, tells him to shut up.
Choton accuses Shrishti of manipulating the situation for her benefit, adding, “This happened because of Shrishti. She was getting Jhanak married to Tejas. When the police told Ani that Jhanak got kidnapped, could he sleep in peace? He would have done this for anyone.”
Jhanak, still upset, says, “You will say Rahul will marry me. He loves me, but I don’t love him. He is my best friend. I can’t lie to him. Who will marry me knowing my past? You are responsible for ruining my life.” Anirudh, shocked, pleads, “Please forgive me.”
Bipasha accuses Jhanak of harassing Tejas, but Choton defends her, saying, “She agreed to marry Tejas because he wanted to kill Ani. What could she do? Be thankful to her instead of cursing her.” Shubh dismisses this, insisting that Tejas had the status, money, and position but didn’t want to marry her because she wanted to ruin Anirudh’s life.
Anirudh, feeling increasingly unwell, says, “I’m not feeling well. I should go and rest, but I’m really sorry, Jhanak. Don’t spoil your studies. I’ve ordered your food. Tolerate me for two more days.” He leaves, and Jhanak feels bad, crying and thinking of him.
Anjana asserts, “It’s her choice to marry or not. Will she marry if Tejas has money and power? She will have her choice.” Shubh argues, “She would have got married if Ani didn’t go.” Choton explains, “He didn’t want her life to get ruined. He didn’t refuse to marry Arshi. It’s not his fault the marriage didn’t happen in the temple.”
Tanuja suggests, “We should prepare for the marriage. Don’t take her name.” Dada questions, “Why didn’t he come with you?” Dadi expresses concern, “Tejas is dangerous. What if he does anything to Ani?” Tanuja reassures, “He has grown up. How can we force her? He said he will get Jhanak married after her exams.” Anjana then asks, “Jhanak’s marriage with whom?” Shubh, continuing to insult Jhanak, adds more tension to the situation.
He tells Ani that he is getting her married to Rahul. Anirudh breaks down, his mind filled with Jhanak’s harsh words. He reflects on her accusation, “I thought you loved Rahul, but today I learned the truth. I never imagined you would speak to me like this.
It’s a relief that you don’t love Rahul, but I won’t forget this insult.” Jhanak defends her actions, feeling justified in her decision. She asserts, “I told him the truth. No one has the right to dictate my life just because I’m poor and have no parents or status. I did what was right.”
Anirudh, despite his fever, worries for Jhanak’s well-being, vowing to protect her. In a moment of despair, he considers letting his fever rise, thinking, “I can’t bear to see you in pain. Maybe it’s better if I die.” Conflicted, he questions his feelings, “Why am I not thinking of Arshi? Do I love Jhanak?”
Jhanak, on the other hand, denies any romantic feelings for Anirudh, reminding herself of Arshi’s impending marriage. She resolves to take care of Anirudh out of duty, planning to ask him to leave once he’s better. Meanwhile, Shubh expresses his desire for the situation to end, fearing Ani’s presence will bring trouble. Bipasha mentions Ani’s offer of a job to Rahul, but Choton dismisses it, saying it’s no loss to them. Shubh disagrees, fearing Ani’s interference in Ani and Arshi’s lives due to her character.
Dadi intervenes, advocating for the children’s happiness through marriage. Anirudh, conflicted and in turmoil, tries to sleep, grappling with his feelings for Jhanak. Jhanak, concerned for his health, finds him feverish and decides to seek medical help. However, she faces a setback when the hotel staff informs her that a doctor won’t be available until morning. Determined to help Anirudh, she leaves to fetch the necessary medicines.
Later, at the police station, an inspector questions Jhanak’s unexpected return from college. Despite her plea, he refuses to assist her.
