Imlie sat at the table, her heart heavy as she stared at the divorce papers laid out before her. Just as she reached for the pen, the door creaked open, and Surya walked in. Quickly, she slid the papers under a magazine, hiding her turmoil.
“Let’s go,” Surya said, unaware of what she was about to do. “We need to get ready for Bulbul’s wedding.”Imlie nodded, relieved for the distraction. “What’s the plan?” she asked, trying to sound casual.
“Surya explained, “Bulbul wants us to wear fancy dress and act as a happily married couple for the day.”Imlie’s heart sank at the thought, but she forced a smile. She tucked the papers into her bag and followed Surya to Pallo’s house.
Pallo greeted them warmly and immediately asked Imlie to check on Bulbul. Making her way to Bulbul’s room, Imlie felt a rush of emotions seeing her friend in bridal attire. She couldn’t help but smile as she hugged Bulbul, genuinely happy for her.”How did you find the courage to move on?” Imlie asked, admiring Bulbul’s strength.
Bulbul smiled, “I learned it from you. Despite everything, you’ve suffered so much, yet you continue to love and care for others. You’ve shown me that it’s possible to find love and happiness again.”
Pallo proudly introduces Surya to her guests as the esteemed Police Officer, Surya Pratap Reddy, and Surya, in turn, modestly acknowledges Pallo’s introduction, adding that he is also her son-in-law. Expressing his happiness, he asks Pallo to look after the groom, Pratap, on this special day, emphasizing its significance.
He then commends Imlie for instilling great values in both Imlie and Bulbul. As Anjali enters, concealing her face, Surya notices her suspicious behavior, but Pallo tactfully shifts his focus by drawing attention to Bulbul’s entrance as the bride, initiating the wedding rituals.
During the ceremony, Surya instinctively tosses flowers towards Imlie, which catches him off guard, making him slightly nervous. Overwhelmed, Imlie leans her head on his shoulder, deeply moved. Witnessing this, Anjali becomes envious and discreetly spikes a drink. As Imlie becomes conscious and walks away, tears welling up in her eyes, the scene intensifies.
Imlie sits solemnly, staring at the divorce papers laid out before her. Bulbul enters, calling out to her, and her eyes widen in shock as she notices the papers. Sensing her reaction, Imlie hurriedly tries to conceal them.Bulbul: “Are these… divorce papers?”
She asks, puzzled and concerned, why Imlie would want to divorce Surya when she loves him. Imlie explains that Indira insisted she divorce Surya before he leaves for higher studies, claiming she doesn’t love him and it’s for the best. Bulbul, reflecting on her own situation, reveals she had fallen in love with Pratap, inspired by Imlie’s love story, but now questions the institution of marriage and plans to leave Prashant.
Imlie attempts to convince Bulbul that everyone deserves a second chance at happiness. Bulbul, however, points out the love in Imlie’s eyes for Surya, suggesting she deserves that second chance as well. Imlie, unwilling to delve deeper, urges Bulbul to leave to complete the rituals.
Meanwhile, Surya, unaware of the brewing emotions, searches for Imlie, holding a glass of spiked juice. He finds her and offers it, but she declines, saying she’ll have it later. Anjali, observing them, grows anxious, fearing Surya might unknowingly drink the spiked juice.
