Surya strides angrily towards his car. Arjun pleads with him to listen, but Surya refuses, stating he won’t utter a word today. He reveals that Imlie has expressed disinterest in building a future with him and is indifferent to his marriage with Anjali. With that, he drives away, leaving Arjun behind. Unbeknownst to him, Imlie overhears and watches from the garden where she is working.
Meanwhile, Indira calls Anjali, assuring her that she will ensure Anjali’s marriage to Surya.
Upon returning home, Surya is surprised to find CJ, Hemalatha, and Arjun decorating the garden. They explain that despite Imlie’s words, she has never explicitly told Surya that she doesn’t love him. They encourage him not to wait any longer and to propose to her that very day. Encouraged and hopeful, Surya excitedly leaves to bring Imlie back from the bar.
In a dimly lit bar, Imlie stands on a small stage, her voice laced with allure as she sings “Mer Balma Jhalla Wallah,” captivating the audience. Amrit and his rowdy friends, clearly inebriated, demand more, insisting she dance on their table. Amrit warns her, threatening to withhold her pay if she doesn’t comply.
Just as the situation escalates, Surya enters, holding a sturdy stick. He commands the drunken men to sit down, asserting his own right as a customer. He declares that the singer will perform his choice of songs now. Reluctantly, the drunken group sits back, curious about Surya’s intentions.
Surya gestures to Imlie, who understands his silent request. Ignoring Amrit’s protests, she begins to sing “Jai Ambe Maha Kali,” a devotional song. Her voice fills the room, contrasting sharply with the earlier frivolity, leaving Amrit fuming in anger.

Arjun mounts a board bearing Surya and Imlie’s names, prompting CJ to question his premature announcement, potentially alerting Indira. Indira arrives with her entourage, playfully scolding CJ for his childishness. She announces her decision to unite Surya with Anjali in marriage. ” The drunken patrons, irritated by the music, inquire how many more hymns they must endure. Surya and Imlie step out of the bar as the rain begins to pour. They pause, feeling the cool drops on their skin, then share a smile before heading back inside. Surya, modestly, says he was merely enjoying his favorite tunes and reveals his penchant for listening to bhajans day and night.
