Nirmala informs Indira that she cannot eat food prepared by Imlie. Indira, sensing deceit, asks Nirmala to clean her mouth before speaking. Nirmala complies, prompting Indira to express her anticipation of Imlie’s departure in six days. Indira predicts that Imlie will not let go of Surya easily.
Nirmala suggests that if they marry off Surya, Imlie will leave him on her own. Indira wonders where they will find a suitable match. Nirmala hints at Anjali, indicating that she would be a perfect match for Surya. Malti contacts Anjali and invites her, along with her mother, to discuss a potential marriage with Surya, aiming to persuade Indira.
The next morning, during the tulsi puja, Hemalatha invites Imlie to join. Nirmala intervenes, questioning why Imlie should participate since it’s not her household. As they enter the house, Imlie begins the tulsi puja, singing the song “Main Tulsi Tere Angan Ki.” Anjali and her mother, Shweta, arrive and are welcomed by Indira.
Nirmala announces that Shweta is there to discuss Surya and Anjali’s alliance. Indira warmly greets Anjali, stating that her presence brings joy wherever she goes. Indira asks Shweta if she has any concerns about Surya’s existing marriage. Shweta admits feeling uneasy initially, but upon learning that Surya’s first wife will depart in six days, she agreed to the proposal.
Imlie assumes Anjali has returned to meet Surya. As Anjali approaches Surya, he questions her presence. Anjali explains she’s accompanied by her mother, and Indira is requesting his presence downstairs. Surya joins Indira, who surprises him by announcing his engagement to Anjali. Surya, however, reminds them he’s already married to Imlie, and thus, marrying Anjali is not possible. Malti interjects, accusing Surya of loving Anjali, promising to marry her, but ultimately betraying her by marrying Imlie.
Indira, stunned, questions Surya, who admits to the truth and asserts he has already informed Anjali to keep her distance. Nirmala interjects, claiming Imlie has deceitfully trapped her son after a fake marriage. Surya defends Imlie, stating he hasn’t been trapped and has been clear about his decisions.
This revelation angers Indira, while Arjun urges Surya to express his true feelings for Imlie. Imlie, in turn, suggests Surya move on and marry Anjali, as he has already lost valuable time pursuing her. Despite the pressure, Surya refuses to marry Anjali.CJ, meanwhile, decides they need time to discuss the proposed alliance.
Imlie retreats to her room, swiftly locking the door behind her, overcome by emotion. A knock interrupts her thoughts, and she assumes it’s Surya, questioning his unexpected presence. She declares that their marriage holds no significance to her anymore and cautiously opens the door. Hemalatha enters, probing Imlie’s declaration, questioning if she truly believes their marriage is inconsequential.
She reminds Imlie of the ceremonial commitment Surya made, highlighting his regard for her as his wife. Imlie hesitates, trying to articulate her feelings, but Hemalatha interjects, advising her to invest time in repairing their relationship rather than tending to the garden, cautioning that regrets may follow if she does not act decisively.
