Indira, along with Nirmala and others, enters Surya’s room and observes him packing Imlie’s belongings. She expresses happiness, remarking that Surya seems to have developed a conscience by deciding to remove Imlie’s things from the house. Surya clarifies that he has relocated Imlie to the outhouse, hence the need to move her belongings there.
Indira comments on how bad behavior can become a habit, likening Imlie’s presence to a persistent bad habit that won’t easily go away. Surya asserts that Imlie is his wife, and he cannot allow her to stay elsewhere. He plans for Imlie to stay in the outhouse for a week before moving to a hostel.
Nirmala questions why Imlie should remain there even for a day, especially when no other household in the village is willing to take her in. She insinuates that nobody wants Imlie, to which Surya responds that Imlie is a daughter of the village and can stay in any house. However, he acknowledges that Imlie is staying there primarily for Indira’s sake, as Indira does not want him to leave her.
Indira falls silent at this revelation. After Surya leaves, Nirmala remarks that Imlie is very clever and has ensnared Surya with her false tears.
Surya arranges Imlie’s belongings in her room and asks if she needs anything else. Imlie mentions that she’ll be working as a gardener during the day at his house and singing at a bar at night, so she needs gardening equipment. Surya provides her with the tools. As Imlie tends to the garden, Surya watches her from a window.
Arjun and CJ approach him, teasing Surya about his supposedly worsening “incurable disease.” CJ warns Surya to be cautious if he is helping Imlie. Surya is puzzled and asks for clarification. CJ suggests that if Surya truly loves Imlie, he should express his feelings.
Surya denies any such feelings, but Arjun playfully challenges him, stating that if he doesn’t have feelings for Imlie, he shouldn’t look at her for 24 hours. Surya accepts the challenge. When Imlie messages him, Surya hurriedly checks his phone. CJ teases him about being eager to read Imlie’s message. Surya dismisses it, saying there’s no time for love. Arjun and CJ laugh as they walk away, leaving Surya to ponder his feelings.
Indira and Malti approach Imlie, taunting her for supposedly trapping Surya again and returning to stay in their house. Imlie, now paying rent, asserts that she’s no longer their daughter-in-law and warns that she’ll strongly retaliate if they trouble her. She informs Indira that she’s only there for a week and will leave thereafter.
Misinterpreting Imlie’s intention to pay rent without money, Indira resolves to ensure Imlie doesn’t stay even for a week. She calls Amrit, questioning why Imlie returned to the Reddy house despite his assurance. Amrit, acknowledging Surya’s desire to have Imlie back, implies he’s powerless in the matter. Nirmala instructs him to make Imlie’s stay so unbearable that she flees the village soon.
In the evening, Imlie prepares to perform at a bar, anxiously awaiting Surya’s reply to her message. She begins to sing a bhajan, but her performance is interrupted by Amrit. He instructs the manager to have her stand on a table and sing the song “Fevicol Se.”
Refusing to comply, Imlie is subjected to lewd comments from Amrit and his drunken companions. Fed up, she splashes alcohol in their faces. The group threatens the manager, demanding that he compel Imlie to obey their demands or they will boycott the bar.
