Imlie finds herself locked inside a bus stand bathroom, panicking and pleading for help. Surya, searching for her, calls her phone, but Anjali throws it into a dustbin. Imlie manages to call Surya through the window and shouts for help, but he doesn’t notice her.
Desperate, she throws her bangle towards him, catching his attention. Surya locates her and unlocks the door, realizing Anjali locked it from outside. However, they miss the bus as it leaves.
They chase after the bus but fail to catch it. Surya asks a doctor about another bus to Banaras, and they find one that will leave soon. Unfortunately, there are no seats available, and the conductor asks them to disembark. Angry, Surya is calmed by Imlie, who gets off the bus.
Surya is frustrated, feeling he’s trying hard to help her get her admit card, but she’s not cooperating. Imlie convinces him to relax. As the bus starts, she climbs onto the roof and asks Surya to join her. They both sit on the roof, reminiscing about simpler times when she couldn’t afford a bus ticket.
The conductor stops the bus again and asks them to get down, but Imlie pleads to be taken to Banaras as her future depends on it.
When the conductor refuses due to no available seats, Imlie entertains him with a song. He laughs but then suggests she should be admitted to a mental asylum. Imlie then suggests to the passengers that the bus lacks entertainment, and they agree to let her perform. She and Surya sing “Yun Hi Kat Jayega Safar Saath Chalne Se,” which gets live-streamed, causing Anjali to become jealous.
