Surya convinces Anjali to call her later and sends her away. Imlie watches them from a distance. Pallo, with Bulbul, walks out and asks who broke his car. Surya says he forgot to apply the brakes. Bulbul asks him to stay at their house tonight, and Pallo also insists. Surya agrees.
Bulbul prepares a bed for Imlie and Surya on the room floor. Surya says he will go out after some time and explains that he didn’t know Anjali was coming here. Imlie says she doesn’t want to interfere between him and Anjali and asks him to sleep. After some time, Surya wakes up panicked when the light goes off. Imlie tells him the light will not come on until the morning and asks him to sleep. He continues to panic.
Imlie laughs that Senior Inspector Surya is afraid of the darkness. She asks him to count to ten to calm down, and he counts in Telugu. She jokes that he might be scolding her in her language, and he clarifies that he is counting. She continues to taunt him to divert his attention.

She requests Nirmala to return her admit card, but Nirmala flatly refuses and, after insistence, says she must have received it and thrown it in the dustbin. Imlie searches the dustbin but doesn’t find it. Arjun suggests that if Nirmala has taken her card, she will not return it easily, so Imlie has to use her wit to make Nirmala reveal where she kept the card.
Imlie notices the maid taking juice for Nirmala. Arjun takes the juice tray from the maid and spills it on Nirmala instead of serving it to her. Nirmala goes to the bathroom to bathe. Imlie hides Nirmala’s jewelry and sarees. When Nirmala walks out of the bathroom and doesn’t find her jewelry and sarees, she confronts Imlie to return them.
Imlie says she doesn’t know who took them, suggesting maybe she gave them to the scrapman. Nirmala is shocked, stating that each saree costs more than 10,000 rupees, and Imlie gave them to the scrapman. Imlie retorts that she searched for her admit card in the dustbin, as per Nirmala’s advice.
