Vanraj confronts Anupama, urging her to stop blaming his son. Anupama firmly asserts, “Your son is my responsibility.” Babu ji intervenes, sitting down to talk to Anupama. Overwhelmed, she calls him “Babu ji.” Meanwhile, Yashdeep asks Beeji if they should consider moving to Kenya since they can no longer face people in India and America. Beeji, showing her strength, declares, “You are my tiger son, and I am your tigress mother. We will not flee like rats.” She questions where Anupama will go, to which Yashdeep responds, disassociating himself from her.
Toshu defends himself, claiming innocence. Vanraj complains to Babu ji about Anupama’s accusations against his son. Anupama maintains that Toshu is at fault for serving the dish. Baa attributes Anupama’s suspicions to her head injury, insisting that the waiter simply served the dish. Anupama explains that she had planned to serve the dish to the food critic, but Toshu took it forcefully. The family speculates that a cockroach might have landed in her dish accidentally. Anupama questions their trust in her cleanliness and hygiene after serving them for 25 years.
Toshu claims he only wanted to silence her, fearing false accusations like others. Anupama slaps him, demanding he confess. Toshu admits to his actions, challenging her to prove it, or he will sue her for defamation. Disgusted, Anupama tells him to stay away and not even attend her funeral, revoking his right to do so. She wishes him health and happiness but declares herself dead to him. Vanraj dismisses her reaction as overacting.
Anupama turns to Babu ji, asking him to take care of his health, then approaches Anuj, expressing her understanding and requesting a ride to Yashdeep’s house.
Elsewhere, Aadhya offers her friends food from her tiffin, but they refuse, suspecting it may contain a cockroach. They mock Aadhya, suggesting she might be unhygienic like her grandmother. Hurt, Aadhya decides not to insult the food and contemplates throwing it away.
Hearing a mother telling her daughter not to eat from Aadhya’s tiffin, Kinjal confronts her, defending Aadhya and arguing against the unfair accusation. The mother threatens to complain to the principal, intending to get Anupama Joshi’s granddaughter expelled for allegedly tarnishing India’s reputation.
Yashdeep expresses to Beeji that Anupama has a lot on her plate, but all they had together was Spice and Chutney. He regrets making her his partner and states that she doesn’t deserve to be one. Anupama calmly acknowledges his words, stating, “You’re right.” She then surprises him by returning the partnership deed, declaring that Spice and Chutney was her home, where she worked diligently and without error.
Promising to find whoever is responsible for the situation, she firmly asserts that Spice and Chutney will thrive, with or without her presence, and then walks away.
Meanwhile, the kids discuss Dadi’s potential attendance at the wedding. Dimpy hopes she will come, but Babu ji is uncertain and decides to speak with her. Vanraj asserts that Anupama won’t attend the wedding, dismissing the need for her presence. Baa and Pakhi agree with Vanraj, leading Dimpy to declare that she won’t marry if her mother doesn’t come, further solidifying Vanraj’s belief that the marriage won’t take place.
Later, Anupama stands outside the closed Spice and Chutney when Babu ji calls her. He comments on her appearance of strength despite her struggles, but Anupama simply replies that she is just existing. Moved to tears, Babu ji acknowledges her courage.
Anupama then points to the locked restaurant, affirming her belief that it will reopen. Dimpy and Kavya extend an invitation to her for the wedding, with Dimpy adding that she won’t go through with the marriage if Anupama doesn’t attend.
Shruti approaches Anuj, expressing her newfound independence, and he rejoices at her progress. She credits him for her strength, but Anuj humbly deflects the praise to the medical staff, Aadhya, and Anupama. When Shruti notices Anupama approaching, she instinctively leans into Anuj, seeking comfort and familiarity, and they embrace, reminiscing about their past togetherness. Anupama, observing this, starts to walk away.
Anuj stops her, revealing that he knows she has transferred the partnership deed to Yashdeep, as informed by their lawyer. Anupama explains that she doesn’t wish to burden others with her presence where her existence causes distress. Aadhya, overhearing this, bluntly asks her to leave, blaming her for the recent turmoil in their lives.
Anupama then enters the house and shares with Anuj about Pari and her being bullied by friends. Anuj, angered by this news, promises to address the issue. Aadhya, however, accuses Anupama of worsening their lives and demands her departure to avoid further ruin, drawing parallels to the fate of Spice and Chutney.
Anupama defends herself, stating she is not at fault and questions why Aadhya did not assert her independence or clarify their relationship to her friends. She asserts her right to be heard and respected, expressing her refusal to stay where her presence causes distress, be it at Spice and Chutney or in their home. Anupama requests time to gather her belongings, stating her intention to leave. Aadhya, overwhelmed by conflicting emotions, embraces Anuj, seeking solace in the midst of the turmoil.
