Anuj sat in the restaurant, his gaze drifting to a couple celebrating their child’s birthday. A warm smile graced his lips as the familiar notes of the “Anupama” song filled the air. Just then, Anupama entered the scene, and Anuj rose from his seat. Meanwhile, Titu and Dimpy arrived at Vansh’s house.
Titu assured Vanraj that he would care for Ansh and Dimpy, pledging his love for them. However, Vanraj had conditions. He agreed to perform Dimpy’s kanyadaan but insisted that Titu stay as a ghar jamai, obeying his commands. Dimpy, caught off guard, hesitated, “Papa…”
Titu rose, touching his feet as a sign of acceptance, “I accept all your conditions.” Baa beamed, instructing Kavya to fetch sweets. Meanwhile, Anupama, puzzled, asked Anuj why he had called her at such a late hour. Urging him to speak, Anuj, with teary eyes, implored, “For the sake of our daughter, can you stay at my house?” Anupama, taken aback, questioned his request.
Anuj explained that Shruti was seriously ill and Aadhya’s panic attacks were escalating. He revealed that Shruti had physical wounds, but Aadhya’s emotional scars were deeper, leading to a shocking incident.
Anuj believed that only Anupama could care for Aadhya as effectively as Shruti. He recalled her comforting Aadhya in the hospital and mentioned that Shruti agreed, understanding Aadhya’s importance to both of them. Anuj pleaded with Anupama to save Aadhya, emphasizing her need for a mother’s care. Overwhelmed, Anupama listened, tears welling up in her eyes.
Anuj assured her that he would respect her decision, expressing his willingness to do anything for Aadhya. He promised to wait at his house, leaving the choice to Anupama, acknowledging her predicament and the weight of her decision.
Vanraj inquired of Titu whether he would decline. Titu responded that he could sign the stamp papers. Vanraj questioned if Titu had agreed out of greed, mentioning the redevelopment of his house. Titu expressed his desire for family and love, noting that he already had money. Vanraj warned Titu about potential ridicule from others. Titu declared his intention to become a son, not just a son-in-law, promising to care for the family and love the children.
He assured that he would take care of the grandparents as well. Titu expressed his willingness to be like a younger brother to Kavya and a good friend to Pakhi, promising to fill the void of a son in the family. Vanraj, eating sweets himself, dismissed Titu, emphasizing that Titu could not become a live-in son-in-law without marriage, with a smirk. Titu sought blessings from the elders and departed, leaving Dimpy still worried. Vanraj believed that Dimpy would eventually break her relationship with Titu on her own.
Anuj approached Shruti, reminiscing about a past conversation with her, shown in a flashback. He expressed concern that since Shruti was hurt, Aadhya’s panic attacks had increased, and he felt overwhelmed managing both of them. Anuj proposed bringing Anu to help care for Aadhya until Shruti recovered, emphasizing that only Anu could handle the situation besides her. He stressed that this decision was crucial for Aadhya’s well-being.
Shruti, understanding the gravity of the situation, agreed, saying, “Bring her. If anything happens to Aadhya, then we will die.” She prioritized Aadhya’s life over her own happiness, assuring Anuj that she would help Aadhya understand the situation.
The flashback ended, and Shruti inquired about Anupama’s response. Anuj replied that she hadn’t given an answer yet. Shruti requested that Anuj always remain by her side, even if something were to happen to her, until the end. Anuj looked at her, deeply moved by her words.
Anupama’s inner conflict brewed, torn between staying and going. One voice cautioned her not to go, citing potential jealousy from Shruti and the strain of seeing Aadhya’s condition, especially since Aadhya harbored resentment towards her. Anupama, feeling overwhelmed, covered her ears, trying to silence these conflicting thoughts.
Later, Anuj busied himself boiling milk when the doorbell chimed. Opening the door, he warmly greeted Anupama, thanking her for coming. However, Anupama’s tone was resolute as she explained that she couldn’t stay. Anuj, shocked, reminded her of his understanding, but Anupama clarified that while she would visit, she couldn’t reside there. She suggested arranging for a caretaker for Aadhya.
Anuj agreed reluctantly. However, this scene was merely a figment of his imagination. In reality, he heard the doorbell and opened it to find Anupama standing there. As he reached for her bag, she firmly stated that it would remain outside until she spoke to Shruti.
Yashdeep expressed his disappointment that Anuj had called Anupama and she had gone to his house. He lamented that everyone is selfish, believing Anuj should have arranged for hospital and nurses at his home instead. Beeji countered, saying all mothers would do anything for their children. Yashdeep retorted that Aadhya does not consider Anupama her mother.
Beeji encouraged him to confess his feelings to Anu, but Yashdeep expressed his belief that Anupama had no room for love, and he did not want to impose on her. As if to punctuate the moment, a flower fell on Anupama, causing her to gaze thoughtfully.
