Anupama is about to question Shruti when Shruti suddenly starts feigning pain in her stitches. Everyone becomes worried. Aadhya shouts, “Shru!” Kinjal asks, “What happened?” Shruti says, “I’m feeling pain, I think it’s my stitches.” Baa offers to make kada, but Shruti refuses.
Baa then reminds her about the medicines. Babu ji suggests taking Shruti to the hospital. Anuj mentions that the doctor had warned about possible pain due to exertion and asks Shruti to come with him. Aadhya fetches Shruti’s bag. Anupama tells Shruti to take care of herself, and Shruti looks back at her, which Anuj notices.
After they leave, Vanraj comments on the tension between Anupama and Shruti. Anupama tells him to stay out of it. Vanraj warns her about meddling with an expert, but Anupama retorts that truth eventually comes out and accuses him of hiding something. Vanraj questions her intentions, and Anupama asserts her determination to uncover the truth.
Shruti worries about Anupama revealing the truth to AK. Anupama calls Shruti, chiding her for overacting and assures her she won’t ruin her daughter’s wedding but warns her to be cautious. Anupama ends the call, leaving Shruti fuming. Anuj then asks Shruti about the call, and she lies that it was from Ms. Smith. He inquires if something happened between her and Anupama, but Shruti denies it, plotting her next move.
Later, Baa explains the Mameru Rasam, and Pakhi jokes about buying Mama online. Anupama announces that Bhavesh will perform the rasam, making Dimpy happy. Vanraj sarcastically remarks about having another Joshi in the house, and Anupama retorts that it will double the fun. Bhavesh arrives, having taken a half-day leave, and everyone starts dancing. Vanraj reassures himself that he’s not in the wrong, believing all will be well.
During the festivities, Kavya accidentally lets go of Anupama’s hand, causing her to fall into Anuj’s arms, upsetting Shruti and Aadhya. Vanraj makes a snide comment about Anupama coming between Anuj and Shruti often. Aadhya gets upset, and Devika checks on Shruti, who claims she’s feeling better.
Anuj approaches Anupama, remarking on their frequent encounters. Anupama shifts the focus to the rasam, but Anuj wants to discuss Dimpy and Titu’s marriage. He shares his guilt over not being able to do much for Dimpy and asks Anupama to give an envelope as shagun.
Anupama reassures him that it’s not his fault and that everyone has moved on. She agrees to give the envelope, apologizing for thinking he wanted to discuss something else. Anuj admits he struggles not to talk about it as it weighs on his heart. Anupama then mentions wanting to talk about spice and chutney.
Shruti thinks she is going to reveal the secret. She approaches the group and asks what they are discussing. Anupama responds, “We’re not talking about what you think we are.” She thanks Anuj for helping KD, Updesh, and others.
Anuj replies, “I didn’t want them to tell you, but they did.” Anupama invites him to join the rasam. Baa announces that Bhavesh has brought all the necessary items. Anupama hands over an envelope, saying it’s from Anuj. Dimpy insists it’s not needed.
Anuj reassures her, “You were like a daughter to me before Aadhya.” Aadhya looks upset. Anuj asks Titu to take care of Dimpy, and Titu promises he will. Vanraj mentions having a sore throat. Anupama and Devika pray to stay protected from any evil eyes. Shruti wonders who will protect her from Anupama’s scrutiny.
Yashdeep tries to assist Anupama, and she instructs him to do it properly and place it carefully. Yashdeep agrees, saying, “Once the wedding is over, we’ll return to America.” He asks about her plans. Anupama replies, “I need to complete some formalities at Maa’s house.” Yashdeep mentions handling Gulati and hopes Mr. Kapadia will assist.
He expresses concern that customers might not come even after the restaurant reopens. Anupama comments that Ms. Smith might write about it under someone’s influence. Yashdeep hints, “I know who you’re protecting.” Anuj, overhearing, is led away by Aadhya, who suggests they get ice cream. Yashdeep reveals to Anupama that he saw Shruti with Ms. Smith and, after the truth and dare game, is convinced. Anuj says he’ll order ice cream, and Aadhya will serve it.
He instructs Aadhya to take them. Yashdeep explains that Shruti instigated Ms. Smith out of insecurity. Anupama remarks, “Whatever happened, we just want our respect back.” Anuj, eavesdropping, hears this. Yashdeep warns that Shruti could harm Mr. Kapadia and Aadhya.
Anupama insists they shouldn’t interfere in their relationship and asks Yashdeep to keep it a secret. Yashdeep agrees. Anuj, realizing they are discussing Shruti, is about to leave when Yashdeep questions Anupama about punishing Shruti for ruining her life and others. Anupama responds, “If I punish Shruti, Anuj and Aadhya will suffer, and I don’t want that.” Anuj, shocked, reveals himself to Anupama, who is stunned to see him.
