Anupama reflects on how today’s kids seem to lack the understanding to teach themselves, yet she finds herself teaching others despite being at an age where she could learn to be self-sufficient. Anuj notices her tears and asks her what’s wrong. She tries to brush it off, but he insists.
Anupama mentions Aadhya, noting how happy she looks. Anuj expresses his desire for Aadhya to socialize more and move past her childhood trauma, also inquiring about Pari’s well-being based on information from Dimpy. He shares that Aadhya was upset upon learning something, prompting Anupama’s concern. Changing the subject, Anuj jokingly talks about using an uptan (face pack) to improve his and Anupama’s appearance.
Meanwhile, Vanraj attempts to gather information about a lady, while Devika tries to trace a phone number. Vanraj, upon seeing Devika, sarcastically questions why she isn’t at the office, to which Devika responds with a taunt of her own.
Later, the men of the house surprise the ladies by serving food, impressing them with the presentation. Baa asks if the food was ordered from outside, but Babu ji reveals they prepared it themselves. Anuj acknowledges Vanraj’s hard work, and everyone enjoys the food, wrongly guessing the chef’s identity until Anupama recognizes Anuj’s cooking style. As they discuss the food, Gulati unexpectedly arrives. Anupama, Anuj, and Toshu are shocked to see him.
Baa recalls meeting him at Savita’s function and mentions his catering business and social work in Ahmedabad. Gulati recognizes Anupama and comments on her popularity, recalling how Spice and Chutney used to be successful under her management but has since declined. He mentions offering her a job at his restaurant, praising her cooking skills and referring to others’ food as “insect food.”
Vanraj inquires Toshu about Gulati. Toshu responds that Gulati harbored jealousy towards Spice and Chutney and their mother. Gulati notices Toshu and Anuj’s presence and sarcastically remarks about their presence. He questions Baa’s decision to give him the catering order instead of Anupama.
Baa clarifies that Anupama is a guest, to which Gulati states his intention to return in the evening before leaving. Anuj voices his distrust towards Gulati, prompting Vanraj to insist on continuing with Gulati’s catering, leading to a disagreement. Anupama intervenes, asserting that they should not interfere. Aadhya, however, becomes visibly upset.
Kinjal inquires about Gulati from Toshu, who initially jokes but then reveals that he has met him once. Toshu describes Gulati’s business practices of acquiring other restaurants’ best chefs to improve his own business, branding him as a cunning businessman. Kinjal expresses disdain towards Gulati, and Toshu mentions his plan to request Gulati for a managerial position.
Baa reminisces with Babu ji about a saree she had given to Anupama for her first rasoi, which was later taken back by Anupama to protect it from kitchen damage. Baa regrets her actions and compares them to her treatment of Dimpy, expressing happiness for Dimpy’s immediate acceptance. She decides to give away her sarees to Kavya, Dimpy, and Kinjal, but Babu ji advises her to reconsider.
Anupama recalls the events at Spice and Chutney, feeling anxious. Anuj, suspicious of Gulati, decides to talk to Anupama. Anupama, seeking solace, prays while Anuj searches for her. Aadhya confronts Anuj, expressing her displeasure with Vanraj’s behavior. Anuj advises her to let the elders handle the situation, but Aadhya insists on intervening, unable to tolerate Vanraj’s disrespect.
Anupama motivates herself to face the challenges ahead and calms herself with prayers. Aadhya informs Anuj of her willingness to stay, fearing Anupama might reveal her involvement in locking Pari in the storeroom if she insists on leaving.
