Anupama admits that she initially accepted the offer, but she would have declined if she had thought about it more. She then leaves, followed by Anuj. Later, contestants arrive for the Superstar Chef competition, waving enthusiastically. Anupama joins them, and the judges applaud their selection for the Superstar Chef USA 2024 competition.
Introducing herself as Sally Paka, Anupama presents Chef Hitachi Wang and Keith Glowstr as the other judges. Hitachi explains that the competition will test their skills through various challenging rounds, focusing on their cooking abilities and overall culinary expertise. Keith adds that the competition will not be easy, emphasizing the importance of speech, innovation, and culinary brilliance. Sally notices Anupama’s plastered hand and inquires about it.
Anupama dismisses it as a minor injury. However, Keith expresses concern, stating she cannot compete in this condition. Anupama insists she can cook with her left hand, citing her experience of cooking while holding a child. Sally, understanding her passion, suggests being practical. Anupama pleads for a chance, willing to be ousted if she fails to deliver.
Keith bluntly tells her to leave, suggesting she try again next year. As Anupama walks out, she recalls the discouraging words of Yashdeep, Toshu, and Vanraj, tearing up. Sally stops her, asking her to wait for a moment.
Kavya rejoices upon learning that Dimpy has informed Vanraj about her decision. Dimpy, feeling unprepared for the conversation, apologizes for the abruptness. Kavya, needing to leave, receives reassurance from Dimpy.
Meanwhile, Vanraj overhears Kavya’s mention of going to court if he tries to take Ansh away from her. He sarcastically applauds her, likening their situation to a matchstick box. Angered, he challenges them to call the police and file complaints against him. Kavya defends her stance, questioning his right to take her son away. Vanraj raises his voice, and Dimpy intervenes, urging him not to shout.
Sally informs Anupama that she has the right to disagree with her fellow judge, Keith. Sally asserts her decision to give Anupama a chance, despite Keith’s disapproval. Keith accuses Sally of favoritism, suggesting she supports Anupama because she is a woman.
Sally clarifies that she is supporting Anupama not because of her gender, race, or nationality but because of her inspiring perseverance, despite a recent accident. Sally emphasizes that the competition is about more than just cooking skills.
Hitachi agrees with Sally, advocating for giving Anupama a chance. Sally invites Anupama back, stating they are granting her an opportunity without providing any extra privileges or time. However, Keith warns that failure will result in immediate elimination. Anupama accepts the conditions and prepares to compete.
Vanraj encounters Anuj sitting on a bench and remarks on their coincidental meeting. Anuj teases Vanraj about his concern for Anupama’s ability to cook with one hand. Vanraj counters by suggesting Anuj might be preoccupied with thoughts of Shruti.
He reminds Anuj of Shruti’s invitation to their upcoming sangeet, indicating they will attend. He warns Anuj against any cliché attempts to leave Shruti at the altar and marry Anupama. Anuj reflects on Vanraj’s words as he watches him leave.
The competition’s first round commences with contestants given the freedom to prepare their preferred dishes within 30 minutes. Anupama, initially overwhelmed, gathers her thoughts, drawing inspiration from her past and determination to succeed.
Despite challenges and doubts, she resolves to showcase her culinary skills on this prestigious platform. As the cooking begins, Anupama faces skepticism from the judges due to her injury. However, she remains focused, determined to prove herself.
