Savi meets Rajat at a cafe. Rajat orders black coffee while Savi orders tea. Preoccupied with his phone, he asks what she wants to discuss. Savi thinks every time she meets this man, he makes her feel weird; what kind of a man doesn’t have time for his daughter? Rajat impatiently asks her to speak as he doesn’t have much time.
Savi says Sai is a cute girl whom his family and the whole apartment building likes, but she has one concern for Sai. Rajat tells her to go ahead. Savi says she has observed Sai carefully both at school and in the apartment building, and she is a sensitive kid who feels lonely and needs her parents’ love.
Rajat dismisses her concern, saying that Sai has a complete family with grandparents and aunts and doesn’t feel lonely at all. Savi says she doesn’t deny that, but Sai needs her own parents; she doesn’t know about Sai’s mother.
Rajat gets angry and warns her to stop it now; she is Sai’s teacher, and he is Sai’s father and doesn’t need a lecture on parenting. He knows what is good and what’s bad for his daughter, and she should keep her concern only to the school. He pays the bill.
Savi says she doesn’t need his favor and pays her bill. Rajat says he is a businessman and doesn’t need to keep anyone’s favor. Isha, spying on Savi, notices a jewelry box and thinks Rajat got a gift for Savi. Rajat tells Savi that Sai had broken her bracelet by mistake, and he got a new one.
Savi says she doesn’t need it. Rajat insists she keep it and walks away. Savi feels frustrated with his behavior. She gets a call from the school principal and rushes back to school.
Isha thinks they really are dating and follows Rajat to his office to know more about it. The receptionist asks if she can help her. Isha thinks she needs to find out if Rajat is the company’s CEO or not. She introduces herself as a magazine reporter covering stories of young dynamic leaders and hence came to cross-verify her boss’s information. The receptionist asks if she is talking about Rajat sir. Isha says yes. The receptionist praises Rajat’s professional ethics and kind nature.
Isha asks if she is telling the truth and not under pressure and will say the same to her friends. The receptionist assures that she is telling the truth. Isha asks about Rajat’s package. The receptionist says she can get more information from their VP and will check his schedule. A peon carefully watches her.
Isha calls Latha and shares with her that Savi is dating a guy named Rajat, and she came to Rajat’s office to inquire about him. The peon hears her and informs the receptionist that the lady is not a reporter but Rajat’s future MIL who came to inquire about Rajat. The receptionist says then Aman can give her proper information, but he is busy in a meeting.
The peon says he knows how to get Aman out and walks to Rajat’s cabin where Aman is busy in a meeting with Rajat and asks Aman to come out as someone has come to meet him. Aman says he didn’t give an appointment to anyone today. The peon insists and reveals that Rajat’s future MIL has come to inquire about Rajat.
Rajat asks why he doesn’t know about his alliance and walks out to see who it is. Isha gets Shantanu’s call and leaves from there. Rajat asks the peon where the lady is. The peon shows the waiting area and finds no one there.
Savi returns home and feels frustrated with Rajat’s behavior. Mrinmoy walks in and asks if she can come in, teacher. Savi says it’s also her room. Mrinmoy asks how her day was. Savi says horrible and recalls Rajat’s behavior. She picks Rajat’s given jewelry box and finds a similar one in Mrinmoy’s bag. She matches them and asks Mrinmoy where she got this box from.
Mrinmoy nervously informs her that she loves a boy named Aman and wants to marry him. Savi asks her to speak slowly, or else Ishan will listen, and asks her to explain in detail. Mrinmoy describes her whole story. Savi asks if she is sure about marriage as she is still a kid by behavior. Mrinmoy requests her to convince Isha and Latha.
Savi receives a call from an employee at the Mumbai City Adoption Centre, who informs her that her credentials are being verified and if everything checks out, she will receive a positive result soon. Mrinmoy, overhearing, asks who called. Savi explains it was the adoption centre, as she wants to adopt a girl. Mrinmoy questions if Shantanu and Isha are aware and if she has considered the consequences. Savi recalls Urmila’s harsh words.
Meanwhile, Bhagyashree is cleaning Rajat’s room and finds Savi’s bracelet, feeling happy and thinking Rajat has found someone. Just then, the adoption centre employees ring the bell and inform Bhagyashree that her neighbor, Savi from the Bhosales, wants to adopt a child. Bhagyashree badmouths the Bhosales, calling them uncultured and ill-mannered. The employees think it’s good they inquired with a neighbor, concluding Savi is unfit to adopt.
Rajat overhears the conversation and tells the employees that his mother has issues with the Bhosales and unfairly badmouthed them; he vouches for Savi, mentioning she is a good girl and a beloved teacher. The employees then visit the Bhosales to assess their home environment. Bhagyashree feels disappointed that Rajat defended the Bhosales. Rajat, tired, retires to his room, and Bhagyashree is surprised he praised a girl.
At the Bhosales, the adoption centre employees meet Isha and Shantanu, who are surprised to learn about Savi’s adoption plans. Shantanu says they need to discuss it with their daughter first and will get back to the employees soon.
As the employees leave, they urge a quick response since they can’t hold the file for long. Isha tells Shantanu he should have refused them, not because she is against adoption, but because she knows Savi’s life is about to change in other significant ways soon.
