Isha, Shantanu, and Savi arrive at the restaurant to meet Neeraj and his family. Shantanu remarks that they are thirty minutes early again. Isha points out that this early arrival got them a table. She then spots Mrs. Thakkar at a nearby table and becomes agitated. Savi and Shantanu calm her down. Mrs. Thakkar wonders if Isha is there for a book reading.
Shefali enters the scene. Isha waves at her, and Mrs. Thakkar does the same. Shefali approaches Mrs. Thakkar first and inquires about Bhagyashri ji’s well-being. Mrs. Thakkar responds that she is fine.
Shantanu speculates that Shefali might have brought a marriage proposal for Savi from Mrs. Thakkar’s son. Isha firmly states that she will intervene if that’s the case and hopes the boy is not Mrs. Thakkar’s son. Shantanu and Savi try to get Isha to sit down. Isha, still upset, walks over to Mrs. Thakkar and confronts her, asking Shefali if she brought an alliance from Mrs. Thakkar for Savi. She declares she will not accept such a proposal. Mrs. Thakkar retorts that her daughter would be just as outspoken, so she too will not accept the alliance. Their argument continues.
Shefali informs Isha that the boy she has chosen for Savi will arrive at 7 p.m. and clarifies that Mrs. Thakkar hasn’t even applied. Isha walks away, telling Shefali to join them instead of sitting with “down class” Mrs. Thakkar, who fumes at the insult. Shefali tells Mrs. Thakkar that she will find a daughter-in-law of her choice and asks her to describe her son. Mrs. Thakkar boasts that her son Rajat is the best, a team player who supports his whole team. Meanwhile, Rajat is seen scolding his team, demanding a 100% unique idea for an ad campaign. He suggests changing the tagline from “mamma’s magic” to “papa bear” to emphasize that fathers are also responsible parents.
Back at their table, Isha insists she would never marry Savi into a family like Mrs. Thakkar’s. Savi opens a fortune cookie and reads the note, “Never say never.” Isha asks what it says, and Savi shows her the note, remarking that anything can happen. Shefali arrives with Neeraj and his parents. Neeraj chats with Savi and expresses his admiration for her being a teacher. Savi reveals that she is a widow, and Neeraj shares that he is a divorcee. Savi then discloses more about her past, which angers Neeraj.
Back home, Isha tries to contact Neeraj and his family and asks Savi why they are not responding. Shantanu questions Isha if she didn’t disclose the full truth to them. Isha admits she planned to reveal a small hidden truth once the children got along. Savi explains that Ishaan wanted her to move on and have a family, but she cannot become a mother. Isha prays for Savi to find a life partner who loves her unconditionally. Savi cheers her up, saying they both have become like children in their old age, and suggests they have some ice cream. Isha requests tutti frutti. Savi hugs them both and goes to get tutti frutti and sitaphal ice cream.
Savi walks along the road when she hears a young girl chasing a puppy and sees her standing under a temporary construction lift. The guards shout at the girl to move away. Savi approaches and asks the guard to stop the lift. As the guard stops it, the lift’s cable snaps. Savi rushes and saves the child just in time. A lady scolds the guard for letting the girl inside the construction area, praising Savi for saving the child like a true mother.
Meanwhile, Isha opens a fortune cookie and reads a note that her wish will be fulfilled today. She tears it up and tries to discard it, but Shantanu stops her, encouraging her not to lose hope. Savi asks the girl for her name. The girl says her name is Sai. Savi gets emotional upon hearing this. Sai thanks her for saving her and the puppy’s life. Savi asks where she lives, and Sai says Gulmohar Society. Just then, Sai’s nanny rushes over, asking why she ran off. Savi scolds the nanny to be more careful with Sai.
The nanny takes Sai to Mrs. Thakkar’s flat, warning that she can’t bring the puppy inside or Mrs. Thakkar will scold her. Sai goes in first and asks Mrs. Thakkar for butter and sugar. Mrs. Thakkar, engrossed in the TV show “Teri Meri Dooriyan,” tells her not to change the channel and takes the remote to the kitchen. Sai sneaks the puppy into her room, promising they will stay together from now on.
Later, Mrs. Thakkar is playing cards with her husband Raju and asks for a beer. He reminds her to call it buttermilk since there’s a child in the house. She drinks beer and wins the game. She then browses profiles of potential brides on her mobile, saying Shefali sent many prospects for Rajat. Raju comments that their son couldn’t handle his wife and now takes out his anger on others.
Rajat, attending a fashion show in Bangalore as a chief guest, watches the models on the ramp. He asks a contestant whether she would choose her family or the crown if she had to. The contestant says she would choose her family because the crown is meaningless without them. Rajat praises her answer. Meanwhile, Savi fills out an adoption form, getting teary-eyed as she recalls the doctor telling her she can never become a mother after her surgery.
