The episode begins with Vaiju fervently praying for a bountiful harvest. She tends to the cow, a crucial partner in their farming, when her mother, Aai, arrives and expresses concern over the cow’s health, worried about how they’ll plough the fields without it.
Undeterred, Vaiju decides to take on the cow’s responsibilities for the day and shoulders the plough, determined to sow the seeds herself. Her sister interrupts, inviting them to join for a meal.
During the meal, a man arrives in haste with news. Vaiju reminisces about past marriage proposals that ended in rejection. The man announces that a prince is interested in marrying Vaiju. Despite her family’s excitement, Vaiju remains pragmatic, focused on their financial struggles and the burden of debt. Her sister insists that everyone needs a life partner, but Vaiju is skeptical, convinced that she will be rejected once again.
Meanwhile, Ranvijay is engrossed in a football match. Aai urges Vaiju to meet the prospective groom’s family, leading to some lighthearted banter. Vaiju’s friend, Saleem, presents her with a sacred thread for luck, but Vaiju dismisses its significance, believing that her fate cannot be altered by such gestures.
As fate would have it, Ranvijay encounters a girl near the fields who defends her sister’s honor after he inadvertently steps on her painting. She praises her sister’s hard work and resilience, highlighting the beauty of her inner strength. Ranvijay, in turn, reveals his own rural roots and the hard work his mother and ancestors put into farming.
Meanwhile, Jaikant’s mother, a respected figure in the community, is seen overseeing village affairs. She is concerned about Jaikant’s absence from the gathering and sends someone to fetch him. Jaikant, known for his flirtatious nature, attempts to charm Vaiju, but she rebuffs his advances sternly.
She challenges him to an arm wrestling competition. He agrees, proposing a bet: if he loses, he will hold his ears and apologize, but if he wins, she will feed him wine by hand. She agrees, and they begin. She chants a mantra and defeats him. She demands an apology, but he leaves without a word, prompting her to shout after him.
A wealthy man or Sarpanch arrives at the farmers’ Darbar. Ranvijay’s mother gives advice to the people, which he considers interference, claiming she’s sitting in his father’s chair. The people thank her for her help, and they greet the wealthy man, addressing him as Bhau Sahab. He questions why they didn’t come to the panchayat, to which the man responds that it was a minor issue. Bhau Sahab dismisses them, asking them to leave.
Vaiju cuts wood logs and expresses concern about managing the work after her marriage, especially regarding her sister Jaya’s fees. Her mother reassures her, saying she will take care of their future and advises her to focus on herself. Vaiju’s sister Kaveri gets ready for an event and compliments Vaiju, suggesting she dress up nicely.
Kaveri and her friends decide to give Vaiju a makeover. Meanwhile, Aai prays for Vaiju at the temple. Vaiju dreams about her wedding, but the groom’s family receives a warning call about her, causing them to turn back. The caller turns out to be Vaiju’s own mother, Aai, who seems to have a hidden motive.
