The episode begins with Tanuja giving Anirudh a bracelet, which he gratefully accepts. Shubh expresses his wish that no external force should disrupt their relationship and hopes it reaches its proper destination.
He acknowledges that while everyone is giving Anirudh gifts today, Arshi herself is the greatest gift to him. Shubh hands the bracelet to Arshi, explaining that it matches the one Tanuja gave Anirudh.
Anirudh then notices Jhanak. Arshi admires the bracelet, and Shrishti asks when Arshi plans to present her gift. Arshi defers, suggesting Shrishti go first. Shrishti calls Vinayak over and presents a gold chain to Anirudh, informing him that Arshi chose it. Anirudh thanks them, and Appu eagerly asks when he can give his gift. Dadi reassures him that his turn will come.
Next, Arshi shows Anirudh a diamond ring. Bipasha comments on its beauty. Dadi instructs Anirudh to put the ring on Arshi, symbolizing their engagement. Anirudh hesitates, suggesting they wait to ensure it doesn’t get lost. Shrishti urges him, saying it’s special and precious, and Arshi would appreciate him wearing it. He agrees but prefers to do so later. Arshi reassures him to wear it when he feels ready and suggests they go eat.
Lal and Bipasha also present their gifts to Anirudh. Lal asks Anirudh to touch his feet for blessings, then hugs and blesses him. Dadi tells them to seat Anirudh and offer him sweets. Jhanak brings a conch, and Anjana blows it. Dadi performs some tilak rituals.
Appu asks if he can give sweets to Anirudh. Jhanak hands him a chocolate, which Appu gives to Anirudh, wishing him well. Anirudh thanks Appu and invites her to sit. Shubh interjects, joking that Appu will make the sweets fall if she sits there. Bablu adds that it’s fine; her mother will feed her. Appu returns to her place.
Shrishti asks where Choton is. Bipasha suggests he might be embarrassed because if he comes, he’ll have to bring a gift for Ani, but he… Just then, Choton arrives home. Mrinalini arrives at the same time. They see each other. Choton says, “I was invited here too. You’re rich, they’re rich, go inside and take this Rabdi. They asked me to get it. Tell them it’s from a neighbor named Bheno.” She asks who Bheno is. He replies, “It’s my nickname,” lying to her.
He remarks, “People will think we’re together if we go in together.” She tells him to shut up. Bablu interjects, saying, “Bipasha, you’re wrong. Choton has done a lot for Anirudh.” Anirudh says, “It’s not important to answer every question.
I know what he did for me. Where is he? Call him.” Bablu replies, “He went to get Rabdi; he’ll be here soon.” Dadi instructs them to bring sweets for Anirudh. Jhanak brings the sweets bowl, smiling. Shrishti signals Arshi, who takes the bowl from Jhanak’s hands. Bipasha urges, “You have to feed Ani. Come on.
” Arshi says Tanuja should feed him first. Tanuja says Arshi should do it. Shrishti insists, “Arshi, you’re his fiancée now. You have the most right to feed him. Don’t be shy.” Tanuja feeds Anirudh the sweets, followed by Arshi. Choton continues, “People will think so.” Mrinalini and Choton argue. He hands her the Rabdi, saying, “Don’t get angry. Take this.”
Shrishti asks Jhanak what she made today. Jhanak lists the dishes. Arshi remarks, “You never made Kashmiri cuisine on a special occasion before, why today?” Jhanak explains, “I’m leaving tomorrow and wanted to make something nice.” Shrishti scolds her, instructing Arshi to remove the dishes.
Jhanak protests, but Shrishti asks if Sir ji instructed her to cook. She questions Anirudh, who Jhanak decides to lie for, to avoid his insult. Jhanak says, “No, he mentioned it a long time ago after Saraswati puja. I was cooking for everyone and thought to…” Shubh interrupts, “Who asked you to think? Did you get permission from us?”
Tanuja and Shrishti insult Jhanak. Shrishti reassures Arshi, saying her fate is tied to Anirudh and instructs her to remove the dishes. Anirudh defends Jhanak, saying, “What does someone’s background have to do with cooking? Jhanak worked hard, Anjana helped too. Why can’t we eat it? This isn’t her first time cooking.” Shrishti retorts, “We do care. You won’t eat the food she made today.”
She interrogates Jhanak, “Why did you make it for him today?” Jhanak insists she made it for everyone and asks what she did wrong. Arshi asserts it’s wrong and questions Jhanak’s right to cook for Anirudh. Anirudh, incredulous, says, “I want to taste the food.
” Shubh says, “If you wanted it, I would’ve ordered Kashmiri cuisine from a five-star hotel.” Bablu defends Jhanak, saying she put in a lot of effort. Bipasha asks why she cooked today instead of studying for her exam. Tanuja declares they don’t care about her and tells Anirudh not to eat the food, fearing bad luck. Jhanak, disheartened, says, “If I knew this, I wouldn’t have made it. If it’s bad luck for him, I don’t want him to eat it.”
