The episode begins with Jhanak comforting Anjana regarding Appu. Anjana expresses her desire to care for Appu, noting her kind-heartedness and willingness to do anything for the family. Jhanak reassures Anjana, saying that Appu will one day find a good guy and a loving family.
Anjana expresses her sole wish for Appu to stay safe, and she appreciates Jhanak and Choton’s trust in her. Anjana acknowledges Appu’s talent in singing, lamenting that her voice often goes unheard in the house due to lack of attention towards Choton’s opinions.
Meanwhile, Choton arrives to meet Mrinalini and engages in a conversation with the peon. He lectures the peon on respect and requests not to insult him, to which the peon agrees. Mrinalini arrives, and Choton begins his act. She prompts him to get to the point, and he hands her an invitation.
Confused, she questions the nature of the invitation, and he fabricates a story about the Bose family. He convinces her to visit the Bose house for lunch and dinner, claiming they want to discuss matters with her.
Mrinalini advises him to speak politely, acknowledging the Bose family’s respectability. Choton pretends to agree, but then subtly insults the Bose family, insinuating that their youngest son is not a good person, which prompts a sarcastic response from Mrinalini.
Jhanak announces her departure, and Anjana encourages her to go. Bipasha enters and asks Anjana to keep the cake. Jhanak informs them of her plan to buy gifts and books before heading to Srinagar for her exams. Bipasha starts questioning Jhanak, who feels interrogated.
Meanwhile, Choton and Mrinalini’s argument escalates, with Mrinalini suggesting Choton speak to Jethu instead. Choton criticizes his son, and Mrinalini retorts, calling him similar. Choton defends his son, stating that he shares everything with him, which is why he likes him.
The conversation shifts to Ani’s birthday surprise party, which Bipasha reveals they haven’t informed him about yet. Jhanak agrees that Arshi must attend the party. Bipasha comments on Jhanak going out, leading to an argument with Anjana. Jhanak decides not to wish Anirudh or give him a gift.
Choton announces, “I should get going now,” to which Mrinalini responds with a polite “Please do.” Choton adds, “You never even asked for tea,” to which she playfully jests at him.
Jhanak expresses, “If mom were alive, she would have given gifts to Arshi, so I fulfilled her duty by gifting her something.” Bipasha dismisses the need for a gift to Ani. Jhanak asserts, “If I receive an invitation, I will gift him for the sake of my self-respect. I’m leaving in a few days.” Bipasha retorts, “Never return here, neither Arshi nor we appreciate him.
” Anjana interjects, “We like Jhanak, but she won’t return if things are fine there.” Jhanak shares, “I had to leave my city and home to come here. You can’t imagine my state. I’m insulted here every day. I promise, you will never see my face again.” Bipasha responds, “Good.
” Jhanak concludes, “I will leave and not come back.” She heads to the café to meet Anirudh, where it starts raining and thundering. While looking for him, she sees him running towards her. They meet, and the song “Dekha Hazaron Dafa Aapko” plays.
Anirudh is mesmerized by her and stumbles, prompting her to hold him. He comments on the bad weather, expressing his doubt about her arrival. She reassures him and presents him with flowers and a cake, wishing him a happy birthday in advance.
She notes that it feels different celebrating his birthday this way and thanks him for the bouquet. Anirudh, appreciating the stormy weather, expresses his desire to treat her before she leaves. She ponders, “I promise, I will never come back,” as she looks at him.
